Our Philosophy at D'Amore Injury Law

Attorney Profiles

Jim Harkins is a 53 year man who was left without the use of his left foot after a mis-diagnosed, post-operative infection caused permanent nerve damage. The surgeon responsible for Mr. Harkins’ care, Dr. Clayton Dean, denied responsibility, and would not allow his malpractice insurance company to even discuss a settlement offer. The case was tried for 6 days in the Baltimore City Circuit Court in March 2023 by Paul M. D’Amore and Michael Sanders. The Jury deliberated for 5 hours. Afterward, they returned a verdict finding that Dr. Dean had been negligent, and that he owed Jim $4,230,000.00 for the harm he caused to Jim.

Our Winning Philosophy

Readers of the Maryland Daily Record voted D’Amore Personal Injury Law their #1 choice for medical malpractice cases in Maryland.

About Paul M. D'Amore

Paul received a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance from Boston University’s School of Management in 1992 and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University’s School of Law in 1997. Paul began his legal career as an

Assistant Prosecutor for the State of New Jersey. Thereafter, he spent 8 years successfully defending corporations, doctors, nurses and hospitals in Maryland and Washington, D.C. against claims of negligence.

After a decade of successful practice, Paul decided he would rather help real people instead of the rich hospitals and insurance companies that once retained him. He resigned his partnership at a prestigious defense firm, and began working as a personal injury lawyer

serving injured people in their fight for justice against the very hospitals, corporations and insurance companies that once retained him.

Since then, Paul has obtained tens of millions of dollars in compensation for his injured clients and their families. The results that Paul has achieved for his injured clients have earned him recognition as a Super Lawyer, a Top 100 Trial Lawyer and Life Membership in the Million Dollar and Multi Million Dollar Advocates Forums.
